(24/08/2015) Early in week 3 there are no major improvements. I do manage to walk a little further each day
but it’s a struggle with my shoulder. I have had a major pimple breakout around
my throat it tracks around my left glands. The wife seems to think all the crap
from hospital coming out.
I have a planned meeting with the spine specialist who wants more x-rays to check neck alignment. All ok there it turns out. I also talk to him about a numbing pain on the right hand side of my scalp. This pain comes and goes and feels like my hair is on fire. He’s a little miffed but it’s there and not going away. Blurry vision still no improvement.
We discuss seeing and starting physio on the shoulder. At this point I’m spending most of the day in bed, I’m taking 50mls of Voltaren (2x 25ml tablets) every 8 hours. Even these have a slight dulling of my brain and I’m sure also leading me down a depressed road. Need to get totally of the drugs but my shoulder HURTS!
By in end of week 3 my tail bone is so sore I can’t sit for more than 15 minutes. As people come over to see me I have to pace the floor walking around the kitchen, this puts pain on my shoulder – farrrk….. What else can go wrong?
I do find massage is very soothing - my wife is a massage therapist and never complains when I ask her to relieve my shoulders and scalp. If only she could massage 24/7.
“ICE MAN”
I do a little google research on my phone, ACTUALLY I’ve done a lot of google, face book and eBay time whilst on my back which is also bloody hard. One handed flat on my back trying to navigate the I-phone. The outcome to my pain is ice… humm…… oh ….very soothing..
Ice by the end of the 3rd week ICE is my best friend. My shoulder and neck still ache but I don’t think I need the drugs…maybe I do?? No!
